  Earlier this year work sent me to Canberra for about 6 weeks and I decided to contact Gavin to start some PT sessions to increase my fitness and strength levels. Right from the first session, I found Gavin to be an extremely engaged, enthusiastic and capable trainer. He developed a specialised training program for me, and he did this by taking the time to listen to what I wanted to get out of the sessions which was really important. In a time where so many fitness regimes are generic, it was really motivating to have a trainer who took the time to do this. Our sessions mainly involved kettlebell exercises, strength and conditioning work and cardio. Gavin made sure that each session was varied and I started noticing results in my fitness and tone almost straight away. However the most important thing was that I actually enjoyed the training and looked forward to it. Being a female who had never had a male trainer, I found Gavin to be approachable and not at all intimidating in his demeanour. Gavin also offered practical advice on nutrition and the kinds of exercises I could do by myself when I returned to Sydney. I have other friends who have trained with Gavin as well, and we all agree that if you want results, he's the man to see!

  Over two Strike Boxing (Boxing Boot Camp) 8 week programs I have lost 10kgs, increased my over all fitness and really toned up. After some eight months in 2006 with another personal trainer, I started to work with Gavin Stone in 2007.  The difference was amazing!  Gavin is a most serious personal trainer, who portrays to the client that this is the single most important part of his life.  Because of Gavin's commitment to helping me I have increased my sessions from 2 to 3 each week - if I had the time I would do more.

Every session is thoroughly prepared and balanced.  Every week the sessions are balanced ensuring that I am getting training across the various aspects. He motivates and encourages, but is never condescending.  Gavin pushes and extends, but never allows you to cross the line of  being dangerous to health. But it's not only about the physical as Gavin is inspiring  in other aspects of your life. In a subtle way, he leads by example, and you feel that you don't want to let yourself, or Gavin down.

Gavin's knowledge is impressive, and is continually growing. His avid interest in his profession is seen by the constant reading and the studying that he does.

I started training with Gavin because my partner was already training with him. Due to a recurring prostate cancer problem resulting in the need to have radiation treatment I wanted to increase my physical fitness, before and during the treatment.  Gavin has proven himself to be a highly motivated and  very professional trainer.  He demonstrates a full understanding of the training and planning needs of the older people. During the session Gavin has encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone, and has shown me that I can do much more than I imagined.  This has been a great psychological boost, as well as a physical one. During my treatment he has tailored my sessions to take into account the treatment side effects (the continuation of my training during treatment has been approved by my specialist).

I am impressed by Gavin's energy and enthusiasm, which never seems to wane from one session to the next.  He is a young man who deserves to do well, as he is really a cut above the rest!
