  STI Boxing  
     
 

STI Boxing is a structured boxing performance system developed by Stone Training. The focus of STI Boxing is not limited to one style, however follows a general guideline of primarily Western Boxing and utilsatation of Muay Thai. Those trained in the STI Boxing levels do so for personal fitness development rather than to enter the ring in organised competition, thus the method is applicable to all levels of fitness.

The purpose of the STI Boxing method is to bridge the gap between boxing and boxing fitness, teaching practical boxing skills in combination with fitness training, to ultimately gain the full benefits of combat training.

The mission of STI Boxing is for no program to be endless without progression, as all programs are driven towards civilians reaching that next level. Without a driven purpose goals in fitness training are generalised. STI Boxing takes a combat approach to fitness training.

STI Boxing is taking the training methods used in combat sport (boxing, Muay Thai and MMA) and tactical conditioning (military, law enforcement and security) and utilising them in a fitness training format. Program includes fitness based defensive drills, however all remaining within the guidelines of fitness training. All boxers must wear a minimum of 10 ounce gloves.

The three primary styles are principle outlines for sessions. STI Boxing programs include:

Red Strike
Strike has a mandate to apply entry level practical boxing and combat skills as a form of fitness training. Individuals of any level of fitness can participate at strike level. Red Strike is utilised in Boxing Boot Camp.


Gold Attack
Attack has an increased and elite level of fitness, with the introduction of tactical conditioning. The ultimate in boxing for fitness. Gold Attack is utilised in MMA Conditioning & Boxing Boot Camp.

Black Titan
Titan level of STI Boxing is seen as the ultimate level of boxing and combat conditioning. Titan level is philosophical.

Red Strike
Strike level is signified by the powerful colour of red. Strike has a mandate to apply entry level practical boxing and combat skills as a form of fitness training. Through all training a plan of increasing levels of work must be applied as a focus is placed on progression. Individuals of any level of fitness can participate at strike level.

Key elements of Strike training:
- Jab (lead left hand for orthodox) is the foundation
- Hands held high at all times
- Pivoting of feet
- Defence in duck and parry
- Building to high volume of punches in fitness drills
- Introductory Muay Thai fitness

Gold Attack
Attack level is signified by the achievement colour of gold. Attack has an increased and elite level of fitness, with the introduction of tactical conditioning (military, law enforcement and security agencies). Advanced boxing combinations and exercises are executed. The engrained combinations of Strike level are included into conditioning exercises, to inturn deliver greater outcomes.

Key elements of Attack training:
- Capitalisation of elements from Strike into conditioning exercises
- Tactical conditioning
- Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) conditioning
- Elite level volume of punches in fitness drills
- Timed round partner work

Black Titan
Titan level of STI Boxing is seen as the ultimate level of boxing and combat conditioning. An ultimate level will require a bullet proof shield of resistance with no challenge being too great. Titan level is philosophical, with individual knowing inside when they have reached this level of ultimate fitness; from both a physical and psychological standpoint. All participants must strive to take their training to the next level, and ultimately unleash the TITAN within.
