Gavin Stone is an award winning, Canberra based and recognised personal trainer. Gavin has extensive experience in the fitness, health and sports industries having managed a successful Canberra Personal Training business for 3 years. Gavin completed his formal Personal Training qualifications from the internationally recognised Canberra Institute of Technology.
Gavin Stone places an nonnegotiable priority on facilitating the delivery of results for his clients. Gavin has a passion for fitness and lifestyle improvement, and firmly believes that all individuals can change their quality of life through greater fitness and improved awareness.
Gavin has extensive experience with physical and intellectually disabled clientele. In 2006 and 2007 Gavin participated in competition exhibition boxing bouts at the Kostya Tszyu Boxing Academy in Sydney, Australia. In 2007 Gavin won the prestigious Fitness ACT Fitness Professional of the Year award, as well as consecutively leading Canberra business Body Basics Fitness Studio & Nutritional Centre to being a finalist for Personal Training Business of the Year. Gavin was finalist for the Australian Fitness Professional of the Year award in 2008. |
In 2009 Gavin lived in Thailand for 8 months, during which time he studied traditional training methods at the famous K.R.S. Gym Muay Thai boxing camp. Gavin also designed and implemented an international training program for K.R.S. Gym. In late 2009 Gavin returned to Canberra to formally establish his results based business Gavin Stone Personal Training.
Gavin Stone has performed and trained as an elite cricketer having represented and captained his state at national level, and was a first grade cricketer at the age of seventeen. This combined with having since transformed into a fitness professional Gavin Stone knows what is takes to achieve results.
Gavin understands that the challenges we face in the gym will make us stronger in everyday, and does not settle for mediocrity as he is constantly striving to reach his goal of being the best Personal Trainer available to the general and professional sporting public through the delivery of genuine results driven training programs.
Gavin Stone's theories and philosophies on fitness training are based on an effective method that focuses on the improvement of all fitness qualities, in turn to create an all round more functional physique for the achievement of fitness goals. The cornerstone to this is in developing the correct co-ordination of all the muscles used through tried and tested training methods and individually designed exercises which will promote efficiency and consistency of physical capabilities and movement. This is skillfully applied to the needs of each individual client; with the benefits and improvement gained from a Gavin Stone Personal Training program continue long after its completion. Gavin is devoted to constantly studying, researching and working as a fitness professional on a daily basis.
