The Canberra Times Fun Run Preparation Program is a fitness training concept developed by Personal Trainer Gavin Stone. The goal of the 20 week program is to prepare individuals to complete the 10km Canberra Times Fun Run in less than 60 minutes. The program includes free Team Runs, Individual Programs on top of the personally designed Personal Training sessions to create a functional all round program. A reward of FREE of charge fitness training upon completion of the Target Date will be a capping off towards results based fitness training.
Operating through the cooler months and leading into spring, the program will not only help achieve fitness goals, but set a tremendous base for spring time achievement. Click Here for full program details
Program:
20 Weeks consisting of-
40 Personal Training Sessions
10 Team Runs
Personal Training Session Plan(s):
Lower Body Endurance
Aerobic Conditioning
Running Technique
Core Conditioning
Leg Strength
Upperbody Strength – posture
Assessments:
- Full Standard Fitness Assessment in Personal Training session 3, and 2 weeks out from Fun Run
- Fitness Decathlon Fitness Assessment on week of August 16th – 21st

Team Runs:
Sessions 1-5 on Weeks 5-14 (fortnightly)
